HI!!! First off, let me say that understanding reflexive verbs fully takes time- it's by no means an easy concept!! Your question is regarding when to place the "me" (the reflexive particle) before or after the verb, correct? You place it AFTER the verb when the verb is in its infinitive form.. like acostar + me- acostarme, bañarme, lavarme-- you place the particle BEFORE the verb when the verb is conjugated-- me + acuesto, me acuesto, me baño, me lavo.

Estuve is the first person past tense form of Estar- yo estuve en ese hotel (I was at that hotel )-- Fue is the past tense of IR- Usted Fue, She went to that hotel would be Ella fue a ese hotel. Fue, is also the past tense of SER (very particular situations call for the past tense of SER)-- for example, Ella fue mi profesora (She was my teacher)-- you will learn more about this in the next level. Hope this helps!
