I have absolutely has some of those difficult review sessions. I wouldn't let it get you down, like all things use it as a learning experience and you may want to go through the sessions again that were being reviewed. I think that any exposure to French or learning materials is going to have some benefit. I have never used RS other than the demo lesson when I was trying to decide which software I thought would work best for me, but I would imagine that there is going to be a lot of review, so especially some of the earlier levels may not be that beneficial. I would highly recommend that if there is chapter of Alliance Française in your area that you look into taking classes there. I have been doing that along with Fluenz and find it to be a very good compliment, the greatest benefit is that you get a chance to practice your French with others in real time. You might also take a look at French in Action because it's significantly different than using software to study. Good luck and congratulations on making it to level 5.
