I'll second that. I've encountered many errors in Google Translate Italian. Bravo Fluenz!

Hi, I have been studying German for close to 20 years but the "old school way" with books and audio. I am just beginning again with Fluenz German after trying Rosetta Stone, which I felt mixed things up way too much and started with the familiar instead of the formal. In any event, pertaining to your curiosity about Google Translations I can tell you this. I am a senior software engineer and the state of "machine based" translators are fairly poor in the commercial space. There are some universities working on this issue but it will take some time before they are able to match your own capabilities... Steve Naidamast

I agree, Google translate might translate word for word but is horrible about grammar. It is even worse with more obscure languages like Thai. When I try to translate what my sister in law is saying on facebook in Thai it makes no sense what so ever. I am also on Level 2 and have come across many mistakes google translate has made in my German studies.

The "Translate" option on Facebook actually uses Bing and Bing is FAR worse than Google as far as translation. The results are almost always incomprehensible.
