Basic German has more in common with basic French than you would think! Still, hopefully they are different enough to keep you from becoming too confused. However you might find that your new basic German vocabulary will erase your French vocab. I've never used two Fluenz programs at once, but I have worked with multiple languages at a time. I would recommend not alternating weeks, days at most if you're unwilling to work with both the same day. I think it's really hard to focus equally on two languages without one catching more of your attention than the other, especially if youre using the same program, so power to you! Good luck!
