It says "Is this the hotel's exit" You are confused because you are mistaking 'esta' (without the accent) with 'está' (with the accent)
'Esta' without an accent simply means 'this'
'Esta' without an accent simply means 'this'

The esta in the second question is the verb. My keyboard does not have the a with an accent mark. Same for the a at the end of alla.

Press [ button then press the correct letter to make the accent in the program, [ + a = á, [ + e = é, and so on

I believe "estar" (está) is used in the second question because the question is trying to confirm the location of the entrance... "And the entrance is over there?" I believe "ser" (es) is appropriate for the first part because the question is referring back to a lasting attribute for "this"(i.e.the exit). "Is this the exit of the hotel (or hotel's exit)?"

It is "Y la entrada está allá?" Notice the accent on está, which indicates this is the verb estar. "Es está" would be incorrect. "Es esta" means "Is this". You could say "Está esta la entrada?" but "Es esta" is better. está and esta are a bit confusing at first but you will get used to it.
