I'm in Level 3 Lesson 21 &, unless this is something I haven't gotten to yet, I think it should really be either kleinem (to agree with the dative meinem) or simply kleine (adjective form). The only reason I can think of that it should be kleinen is if it was plural (more than one Geschäft).

Hallo scottgracie
Thanks for letting us know about this. You are right that we hadn't explained this yet. But sit tight. It will come very soon! For now we have corrected this sentence and it will be available in the next update. @ranchhand1956 you may want to review level 3 session 12 where we explain the adjective endings in the dative case. Viel Glück!

Thanks. It all makes sense now.
For those who have not got there yet: djectives when used with the dative case require EN as an ending. So, "in" requires the dative, Geschäft is neuter so it becomes meinem, and kleine as the adjective becomes kleinen.

Yeah, thanks, I should have done my review before commenting. After my comment, I did go back & found exactly what you explained. Vielen Dank!
