English Grammar Issue?
In going through the Flashcards for SP/LA 4-9, (probably in the lesson as well) I am asked to write the following sentence in Spanish: "(I)’m sorry, sir, (we) don’t accept this type of cards here." My problem is that this seems to be grammatically incorrect. In English we would either say "this type of card" or "these types of cards". In rendering the Spanish translation, the program accepts the response ......no aceptemos este tipo de tarjetas, with the disagreement in number between tipo and tarjetas. I'm pretty sure the English is incorrect, but what about the Spanish? Would they really say it that way, rather than "tipo de tarjeta"?
