Hi there. I feel your pain. I find verb conjugations to be very, very difficult to do in oral conversations. When I'm writing - and have the luxury of time - they're super easy. But speaking? It's a whole new ball game, and very challenging. I used flash cards to get them down packed, personally, but still, I sometimes conjugate incorrectly.

If this can make you feel better, my brain finally got it when I reached level 4. I was thinking so hard in order to conjugate in the past that like Ayden, there was no way I could have a conversation that included the past, so I my sentences were even more convoluted, trying to express the past with present verbs.. then suddenly, one day, it came naturally. I still have a few struggles but at least for regular verbs it's really natural for me now. Make sure you take some brain rest, too, don't force too much at once.

Thanks guys. I know stressing out over it isn't helping me improve! It's good to know I'm not alone in it, though. This second time through, I am much more aware of how lost you can get if you move ahead too quickly and don't get a grasp of the material.

Hi Rachel53. Spanish is even hard for Spanish speaking people, so stress not. You are doing great.
