When I'm absolutely convinced that I've written the damned phrase correctly and the program is screwing up, I take a deep breath and look for accent marks. They can be a little hard to see.

In most cases it's an issue with the accent over the i in Italian. You can always delete entirely what you wrote, then click "Answer". It will fill in the correct response and let you continue.

lesson 5 session 4 in the exercise where you listen to and then type the conversation, this happened to me as well. It definitely wasn't a typing error and I tried to click answer and tried to click next but after a while I had to give up and move to the next work out. I also tried to close the program and went to the exercise and it happened a second time. I am in lesson 5 so I definitely know how to use the program by now. My guess is that there is a typo in the programs unseen "correct answer" that doesn't allow us to continue on...or something. The phrase that caused the block was "si(with accent) ce n'era uno". When I clicked answer it displayed exactly what I had written "sì ce n’era uno". This is my first encounter with this problem lessons 1-4 never did this to me. Hope this doesn't continue in future sessions.

I find that sometimes by going back to the previous phrase, then moving forward again to the one giving trouble sometimes solves the problem, at least temporarily.
