I am not there yet but I think it is because of the plural adjective ending.
Zimmer does not change for plural except for the article, so: 'das andere Zimmer', and 'die anderen Zimmer' in the plural.

Hallo,
You might like to review the tutorial for session 12. In the tutorial you learn that:"... adjectives also end in "-en" when they come after plural articles, like: Die, Diese, Welche, Meine and so on. This is true for all three cases: nominative, accusative and dative." (There is also a good review of adjective endings in level 2 sessions 24 and 25 although this only covers singular nouns).
We gave you the following examples in the tutorial:
- The new restaurants = Die neuen Restaurants
- These big dishes = Diese großen Gerichte
- In my red bags = In meinen roten Taschen
In your example, we are looking for "the other rooms". You know that "Zimmer" is neuter so "das Zimmer" in singular. And the adjective ending in the nominative singular is always -e for all genders. So "the other room" would be:
- das andere Zimmer
And you know that the plural of "das Zimmer" is "die Zimmer". So adding what you learned in session 12 about plural adjective endings, "the other rooms" would be:
- die anderen Zimmer
So Allison is absolutely right here.
