Hi Michael….I agree, it would be nice to have the transcripts. Comprehension remains one of the more difficult aspects of a new language for me. On the other hand, NOT having a transcript forced me to spend more time working on comprehension. What I did for some of the Pinocchio series (I assume that is what you are listening to now) and for Level 4 podcasts, was put my earbuds in, and listen over and over, short parts at a time. I then typed what I could on the iPad, with the Italian keyboard selected. In this way, even if I didn't know a word, if I could get close, the auto correct would sometimes give me the right word. I would then, of course, look it up for definition if needed. Unfortunately, somehow those notes were deleted from my iCloud, not sure why….otherwise I would have provided them to you here.
I have offered in a previous post to collaborate with other Italian students on audio comprehension, but had no takers. I am would be willing to do so with the podcasts, if you or anyone else would be interested. We could simply start a thread here in the commons for each podcast and collaborate. It could be fun and would be a more active learning approach.

Thanks for your comments Kristin. I am hoping the Fluenz team would entertain the idea of providing the complete scripts for everyone. While spending some time in Italy in the past couple of years, I understood more of the conversations (although also difficult) than when listening to these podcasts, particularly at the speed of level 5. At least there I could ask to have the sentence repeated, and perhaps a little more slowly. Thanks also for your offer. Let's see if Fluenz will jump in here.

Thanks to Fluenz lab for listening and responding. Fluenz is a wonderful program and one that is beneficial in all areas. That said, I think this addition will make the podcasts much stronger. As hard as I have tried, certain words and phrases have been impossible for me to understand, and have left me frustrated. Being able to finally have the backup will be a great benefit. Thanks again.
