In lesson 2 of Italian 1 we mention that the formal "you" in Italian "Lei" is indeed capitalised to distinguish it from "she" - "lei" which is written with a small letter.
And the possessives follow the same pattern:
Your formal = il Suo / la Sua
But it's: His / her = il suo / la sua
Having said that it's not compulsory to use the capital letter, so that's probably why you haven't seen it. Actually it's being used less and less these days, but you can still find it in formal letters:
"Gentile Utente, vogliamo informarLa che il servizio clienti è a Sua disposizione …”
So, as you can see in the example above, the capital letter is also used for pronouns referring to Lei (possessives and personal pronouns).
