"se" is used for so many things in spanish!!! In the case of "no se escribe así" it is used as a passive or impersonal pronoun, so nothing to do with reflexive verbs. You translate this sentence as "it is not written this way". It's like "cómo se dice 'comer' en inglés" "how is said 'to eat' in english".
A trick I use to figure this out is "can I replace "se" with "we in general" in the sentence" ?
Cómo se dice: how do we in general say
No se escribe así: we in general do not write it that way
En esta tienda, se habla español: in this shop, we in general speak spanish
But
Él se baña en la noche: He we in general bathe at night
