Hello Steve 12. Are you on Spanish Latin American or Spain version?

Latin American version.

It will come with practice. You need to add much more vocabulary and this is where fluenz lacks a bit. I like watching news because they usually do not speak too fast and you have pictures to help with the context.

Sonia often tells us to watch movies. I would love a good list of movies that are easy to locate, especially in online streaming formats such as Amazon Prime or such services.

You need to establish an association to the type of Spanish you want to grow with; for example, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, or European Spain. Then converse with them. A good source of affiliations is colleges, pen pals, or just a companion who is willing to help your language development. But don't feel frustrated with just finding a Hispanic family humming words you cannot understand, they would sound Greek to a well-educated Spaniard if they were speaking Cuban Spanish.

I would suggest doing what some language wizards recommend. They recommend listening, just listening, to podcasts, movies, etc. And to spend at least half your study time just listening (there are two types of listening----'free' listening and 'active' listening) with mostly 'free' listening. A good site to try is Yabla. One study suggests that listening without text is better than listening with text. However, I find using some text is helpful. It is a mystery how this just listening study habit works so well with the brain. Fluenz by itself is not going to work. You need to add more listening time than Fluenz has room for.
