How you do feel about your level of mandarin after 3-26?

After completing Mandarin 3 with a bit of repeating lessons, i feel confident about being able say most of what I need to in mandarin. that is, I can express basic ideas. I have learnt some additional vocab from elsewhere. If someone is familiar with my restricted vocab we can hold a small conversation. while listening to other peoples conversation, i'm only able to get a handful of words and dont understand much; i may or may not understand what's being said.

Great! Congrats on finishing Mandarin 3. I had to put it aside while perfecting my spanish, but i'll be back to it before the end of the year. Thanks for the info, it sounds like what I expected, you probably have a good foundation, which is what Fluenz is good at teaching. I hope they come up with 4 and 5.

I do believe fluenz has given me a great foundation for sure. adding levels 4 and 5 would be great. I feel i could benefit greatly from just more exercise of the foundation I have. The cd is a bit slow and short in that regard, i havent explored the podcasts too much but they seem similar to the cd from what i've seen. I would like some more conversion and sentences from the current vocab and grammar structures already covered without extending into new areas. I may go back, yet again, and repeat parts, but it would be great to have new sentences I havent seen. I want extra "Repeat the phrase", "write the phrase you read", "write the phrase you hear", "write the conversation", and "match the phrases" sections!!! I do occasionally think up new unique sentences while going through the sessions and converse in chinese, but fluenz has been my main source of practice, and as they say practice practice practice... I believe it, so give us more!

The flashcards are good for that, did you try them? They add a lot of new sentences.
