Kraut mit Schweinefleisch und Kartoffeln. Und auch ein gutes Bier. Don't worry, you will see these soon enough in level 3. Actually, I had to take about a three month break when I finished level 2. Both work and home headed south and things got rather stressful. I retook level 2 with much better retention and finish while on vacation in Nag's Head. My victory lap was spending half the night in the hot tub and pool drinking cocktails and good beer with my daughter/best friend.

I usually don't celebrate and just jump into the next level as i can't get enough German :p
To me, the treat is more studying.

@Mike Dieker great response, you sound very motivated. Level 3 has gotten me beaten but I'm trying to hang in there xD

I read a book. I spend a lot of time studying these days as I am currently living in Germany, so taking a break from the German is sometimes what I need to jump back in. Congrats on level 2!

@Allison Mendel. Hi Allison Medel Oh how exciting that you're currently in German! Reading is a wonderful way to unwind from studying. Sometime I forget how important it is to recharge the mind. Thank you for sharing and thanks for the congrats! :)

I'm studying LA Spanish and I'm on Spanish 3, lesson 4 now. I've been studying for almost a year now. I take my time. I won't go on to the next lesson or level until I feel I've mastered the ones I've learned. To answer your question, I, like Mike Dieker, jump into the next lesson because, like him with German, I can't get enough Spanish. I want to master it fully and I'm very impatient (the Virgo in me). I feel I should be fluent at this point, although I know I can't be, so I keep moving along. The entire subject of learning a new language is a treat for me. I love your idea though!

@Allison Mendel, In which part of Germany are you in? I am currently preparing to leave for Germany, later this month as I will be studying there for a year (and hopefully returning for more!).
@MikeJoe415, I guess it's a trend with us Virgos! Or maybe just Mikes. :p
