Dear Tomoko,
when the preposition relates to a CERTAIN street, you have to use "zur", as "zur" ist the short form of "zu der".
Using the preposition "zur" refers to the notion, that you are not in the street yet, but going to the street, whereas the preposition "in" would refer to the notion, that you are going along a street.
Regards
Uli

Hi PhilK and thanks for the explanation.
I'm puzzled with the English translation. It would've been great if the English read:
Excuse me, are you going to "the" Alexander street or to "the" Otto Braun street?
Instead of having the "the" be implied. The program never explained this structure for streets, which would've cleared up the confusion.
Thanks again for your help :)

@Tomoko500 I believe in one of the tutorials it was explained that you always need an article before the street name, though we don't do this in English. Unfortunately I do not recall which session this was in.
Best of luck,
Mike

@Mike Dieker. Mike Dieker thanks so much for the explanation!!!
I was racking my brain.
Now it makes sense since I understand the meaning behind it.
I honestly don't remember them mentioning this rule, if so it was so loooong ago that I totally forgot.
It's funny, because they finally bring it to attention in session 8 of level 3 that you need an article before the street name O.o lol
Thanks again!
