Yes in Spanish 2 they start using the informal conjugations, and some combination of formal and informal. You will see this explained soon.

Spanish, like some other Latin-based languages, uses two different verb forms, depending whether you're speaking formally (as taught in Level 1) or familiar (as taught in Level 2). The Level 1 formal way to say "you are going" is "usted va." Notice that even though you're speaking in a second-person voice, you're using a third-person verb, as you would if you were saying "he, she, or it is going.". In Level 2, Fluenz begins to teach you the familiar verb forms. So, to say "you are going," you'd say "tu vas." Use of the pronouns ("usted" and "tu") is optional, and you'll often see them dropped entirely. So you might just see ""vas" or "va." If it is dropped, the context of the sentence will clue you in as to whether "va" means "you are going" or "he, she, or it" is going. Hope this clears it up for you.
