I initially used a smartphone for the Fluenz app but now use a tablet exclusively. However, in Google Play the message I get is "ALERT: THIS APP IS NOT OPTIMIZED FOR TABLETS," after which it will not allow me to install the app. Is there a reason why there is no Android app for Android tablets?
That is correct, the Fluenz App hasn't been optimized for Android Tablets, nor do we advertise that it does - we have an App for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones. You could try to use the Fluenz Online version via Chrome on your tablet. Though it hasn't been optimized, it may work on some Android tablets. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Why shun an entire segment of users because one uses a tablet? That seems a little snobbish. Is a tablet version in the works or does the money I spent on all 5 levels get me less because I am a tablet user?
We love tablets and have worked very hard to try and make it accessible for them, but with hundreds of devices that run Android we haven't been able to make it work the way we would like it to in order to promise our users a good experience from the App. We hope you can understand.
@andyg, As an aspiring Android app developer, I can understand the difficulty in developing an app that is compatible for every Android device out there. There are dozens upon dozens of different configurations that developers have to deal with. I wish you all the best and I hope you are able to find a solution in order to make the app compatible.
