Hornsten, I finished LA Spanish last November. It was a great experience, gave me a great foundation on which to continue. I now use methodology outlined in Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner. A Fluenz employee (Andy) recommended this book in a post here. Its methodology revolves around spaced repetition. So, I use Anki everyday. I have found Anki to be an extremely effective method to retain content. I create flashcards for as much new content I learn as possible.
While doing Fluenz, I took ridiculously detailed notes. Little by little, I'm also creating flashcards from those notes so that I can retain all the Fluenz knowledge.
Wyner's website has Anki templates that can be downloaded (for free, if I remember correctly) for use in creating flashcards. The templates are very flexible - I can create a flashcard for anything from simple nouns to complex grammatical concepts to all those pesky verb conjugations. I can also add sound and pictures. Creating flashcards from scratch in Anki definitely is not user-friendly - haha!
Hope this is helpful!
