Now that you mention it, it's gotten me curious about it too. Only things i can think of that it may be is a geographical thing or depending on how you want to use it. I looked up the translation and one translates to just "next time" and the other has the article "the" in it for to state "the next time" to be more specific to mean perhaps the very next time and not just next time in general for another time in the future. Does that make sense or am i overthinking it??

Brian, I checked with native speakers from both Spain and Cuenca and everyone said BEFORE. This post below says BEFORE is more natural. I'm going to use before since that is common usage where I live.
