Barbara! Congratulations. It really does feel incredible to be understood when speaking Mandarin, even when saying the most simple things. I have found that to be my strongest motivator to keep going. As far as strategies- one that I ofter use is to carry around a small notebook in my bag. When I run into a new word, or when I'm purposely trying to learn a new one, I jot it down and I actively look for opportunities to use it- a lot. It might be simply dedicating a few minutes a day to coming up with sentences... But having that tool to look back at and actively pursuing opportunities to cement those new words in your brain really helps! Keep at it. :) So so proud. Cheers
