Hi; I don't know how far along you are in the course, but this is explained in session 12 of level 2, at least in the original version of Latin American Spanish, which I have. It is an expression,and there are other similar ones in Spanish, I would explain it by saying that even though we translate "me gusta" as "I like", it is really saying "(it) appeals to me." Thus, me, te, le, nos, not yo, tu, lo, nosotros.

I am not quite that far along. I'm currently on lesson 20 of level 1. But as long as I know those explanations are coming it puts my mind at ease. I can watch a Spanish video now knowing these pronouns are coming and not to worry about for now. Big help, James and I;m very grateful
