I've noticed that too; we are on similar levels. Maybe we can research this. I noticed that right after the word parle, we don't need to put the article "le", so I speak French would just be "Je parle Francais" and not "Je parle le francais." However, as a subject, we need to put the le.
French is easier than English = Le francais est plus facile que l'anglais

Hello Charlene,
Joseph is right, as we explain in Fluenz French 1 session 22, we do not use an article after "parler", yet in all other contexts you do have to use an article before languages.
That's why we say: Je parle françaisEst-ce que vous parlez anglais?
But: J'aime le français, le français est plus facile que l'anglais
Hope this helps!
