And the podcasts.

Yes that's right, or you can do a few sessions then review with the flashcards with multiple sessions. It's completely up to you.

My guess would be if you asked 100 people, you'd get 100 different responses on how to do the program. Depends on how you learn best, what time you have, what Spanish you already know, etc. Some combination of the lessons, the flashcards, the podcasts, the audio reviews, reviewing the lessons, and whatever supplemental material and tricks you've stumbled into. One thing I do know is that you'll try a bunch of variations until you figure out a system that works for you. One of the strengths of the program is that you can tailor it to your specific situation.

you can do flashcards, but you don't have to, they can be used as review, backup... anything! like I am on lesson 10 in workouts, but I just did lesson one workouts! I use them as review. you can use them fir whatever, and I don't think there's anything else to do! except for practice of course. So workouts and flashcards are the only things on fluenz, and you can use them however you want. does that help?

I take notes during each lesson. For each lesson I start a new notebook page and usually end up with a page to a page and a half of notes covering all aspects. Then I use my notebook for review. I also make my own flashcards, old school style on index cards. When I have a spare 20 minutes or so I grab a handful and quiz myself on vocab.

I just started to do this: Take 6 to 10 flashcards (home made), line them up on my desk and create a written dialog using those words along with any others I know or remember. Then I read it back aloud. Short of having a partner to talk to, it works pretty well. It makes me think about what I want to say and how to say it en español. It also makes for a xxxx good workout.
