@Ashoka Tano. I have felt your frustration when not being able to understand the words or sentences being spoken, and for a time it's probably alright to slow the speaker down. But at some point, if you want to start communicating, you will have to clear this hurdle. What I've done, and continue to do, is write the parts I can make out and play back the sentence 20 times or more if I have to. I found that once I have a few words down it's easier to focus on the words I'm still not understanding. Each time or two you replay the sentence you're likely to understand more, even if it's a single word. And if all of your efforts fail and there are parts of a sentence that you just can't make out, take a peek at the answer. It might help you hear those words or phrases better when they're used again in future workouts. I've only started to use the upgraded Spanish program but it seems, based on a small sample size, that the speakers are a bit easier to understand. Best of luck to you. With enough determination you will begin to understand these speakers and clear this hurdle. You can do this!
