Fluenz is the reason I discover the world
As I get ready for my flight to Thailand tomorrow, it just dawned on me that before learning Spanish with Fluenz I had only been in a few countries in Europe when I was a kid and a teenager (i'm originally from France but live in the USA). Then most of my international trips were back to France to see my family.
After learning Spanish with Fluenz, I decided to go by myself to Uruguay for a couple of weeks in order to "dive" into the Spanish language. This was the start of multiple trips to South America: Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Panama. Also took a few trips to Mexico city, Guadalaja, and I'm fortunate enough to live near the border so I cross to Tijuana often to visit my Mexican friends and enjoy the food.
I then learned Mandarin with Fluenz, and this opened my eyes to Asia, which was not a destination I had ever in mind. I took a flight to Japan for my birthday and loved it, so after finishing Mandarin I flew to China, and it was too a total delight.
Now I got the travel bug and decided to visit Thailand and I'm leaving tomorrow. But when I was offered a very cheap return trip to China in december, I couldn't say no so i'm back flying solo to Beijing in two months in order to practice my chinese and visit more of the country (I know it's gonna be cold, but hey i'm going to ski in China, how cool is that!)
I already booked a flight to Vietnam for next march, and I'm planning a trip to Portugal, Spain and Africa for next year in September.
Without Fluenz I would still probably do my yearly visit to France and travel here and there within the US. I cannot thank Fluenz enough for giving me the opportunity to see the world and its beautiful cultures.
Fabrice.
PS: I learned basic Thai online and with a teacher, and I can tell you there is nothing out there that is at the level of Fluenz!
