Hi, "ser" works like any other verb: it is placed after the subject in statements and questions with no question words like "where", "when", "who" etc, as in:
- Ella es de los Estados Unidos = She is from the United States
- ¿Ella es de los Estados Unidos? = Is she from the United States?
When there is a question word, "ser" is placed right after it and the subject is placed at the end:
- ¿De dónde es ella? = Where is she from?
"Ser" is mentioned for the first time in session 8, level 1 so you can review the workouts (or flashcards) for that session.
Hope this helps!
