Hi Sam, Well, there's no definite rule as to why a verb is reflexive and another one isn't from the point of view of English, but typically a reflexive verb is when an action is being done by the subject to themself such as "She is combing her hair" or "She is brushing her teeth". In the example above, it wouldn't be reflexive. If you were to say "She teaches herself fast" then that would be reflexive since she's teaching herself "Ella se enseña rápido". Hope this helps!
