Hi CMcCullough, in the tutorial we explain that to ask "When" in a question, we usually use "Wann", it's a question word.
However to say "When" in a statement (as a conjunction), then the word to use is "Wenn".
Now, this same word also means "if", so it has two meanings: Wenn = If or When.
No worries though, here our examples are out of context, but usually in a real-life conversation the context will tell you whether the person speaking to you means one or the other.
