Thank you so much for the feedback Wade, and please excuse the late reply.
You are right: Fēn and Fēnzhong are interchangeable, and we have indeed found one flashcard example where the option of using "fen" was missing, it will be fixed in our next update.
All the other phrases seemed to allow both options correctly, so the program should accept both options whenever it's possible now.
