I agree with David!
Fluenz has clearly and simply presented mandarin allowing the average person the opportunity to learn the language effectively. Honestly, it has been incredible.
That being said, it does seem strange to end the course so abruptly, hence preventing the person from continuing the journey towards fluency on this program..

But Fabrice, understand this: Fluenz Mandarin 1+2 & 3 is the work of a genius, but it is clearly an unfinished product. those who have completed the entire thing have been left at the doorstep of Lower Intermediate Level. I have compared almost every Mandarin course out there from some of the biggest companies and none have the level of sophistication that Fluenz Mandarin has. I have even purchased and then thrown into the trash can these other Mandarin courses because they clearly are lacking in every way possible. The ONLY shortcoming with Fluenz Mandarin is the lack of Levels 4 and 5. For a company as huge as Fluenz to have created THE ABSOLUTE BEST Mandarin language course out there and to then stop short of the finish line is similar to producing the greatest bottle of red wine and then after opening the bottle and letting us get a sniff of the wine, not having enough glasses to pour the wine into. iIt is a tragedy.

I wonder what it will take to get them to make levels 4 and 5. Fluenz Mandarin could EASILY be the COMPLETE SOLUTION to attaining mandarin fluency, but strangely they chose to abruptly ditch their students of this particular course, unlike their other courses. I reached out to Sonia Gill, the founder, and she said that its too expensive and not enough of a demand for it. Here's what i have to say. Create Levels 4 and 5 ANYWAYS, FOR THE SAKE OF PRINCIPLE.

Although I would love to see more levels, you have to remember that Fluenz is still a business, and that the sake of principle doesn't necessarily feed their mouth. There is fierce competition on mandarin courses, and I see new ones pop up all the time. Fluenz is so thorough it takes them a year or so to make a level, so unless they can be sure to get the money back for their effort, they will probably not prioritize as we would wish :(

Although there is fierce competition on mandarin courses, none of them have come even remotely close to the effectiveness and sophistication that Fluenz Mandarin offers. However if Fluenz were to add more levels to their Mandarin courses, as they have done for their other language courses, word of mouth will be a deciding factor in generating sufficient interest to get people to want Fluenz Mandarin over the new courses that 'pop up all the time'. Have you given some consideration to the fact that maybe, just maybe it is because of the fact that Fluenz Mandarin is limited to just three levels that not enough people are drawn to it, despite how great it is? I personally am willing to pay $1000 for two more levels, but I do understand that this is not how it works. Fluenz Mandarin would be a more complete Mandarin course with 5 levels than the three that is currently on offer. I would know because I completed the whole thing and after I completed it I felt that it surely needed two more levels. Simply put, there would be no Mandarin course on this planet that would even come close to Fluenz Mandarin if two more levels were added.
