Hi Wayne, this used to trip me up too. When it is you (informal) it will tell be annotated you(i), if it just shows you then it is third person singular. Hope this helps! - Tony

Hi Wayne, that is correct. When we want you to use the "informal you" we use the "(i)", otherwise we're asking for the formal you, "usted":
You want = Usted quiere
You(i) want = Tú quieres
