The use of the word despues requires "de" after it and therefore "el museo" become "del museo." Does that make sense?

Hi, when "después" is followed by a noun, in Spanish you need the preposition "de", and the same goes for "antes = before". This is covered in session 23, level 1. The literal translation doesn't work here, so you have to remember that when they're on their own, "antes" and "después" use no preposition, but when they're followed by a noun, they need "de". Hope this helps!
